Reading

The reading “They’ve Got to be Carefully Taught” by Susan Brady Konig made me think about the Cultural identity. Although many Americans, for example, identify with their Chinese, Irish, West African, or Mexican, they may still know themselves to be American. As I started looking at cultural identity in my own life, once I have moved away from the place of my original culture and begun the process of adapting to another culture, I notice that it is increase the range of my knowledge, understanding, and experience. I noticed things that are done differently or similarly between the two cultures.
